Job Description
The Organization:
Our client is a private healthcare group with hospitals, clinics and outlets throughout the UAE. For their specialized mother and child hospital in Abu Dhabi, they are hiring a Charge Midwife.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Regular midwife tasks as monitoring and examining women during pregnancy, supervising and assisting mothers in labour, monitoring the condition of the fetus and using knowledge of drugs and pain management, arranging and providing parenting and health education, offering support and advice following events such as miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, neonatal abnormality and neonatal death;
•Managerial responsibilities as delegating nursing assignments, preparing schedules, overseeing admissions and discharges, and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies.
Skills & Competencies:
•Good organizational and analytical skills;
•Ability to balance managerial and administrative tasks and clinical care;
•Excellent leadership skills; providing guidance and advice to a team of nurses;
•Knowledge and experience to answer staff and patient questions on a wide range of topics
•Strong written communication skills
Education & Qualifications:
•Bachelor Degree in Midwifery of Bachelor Degree in Nursing AND Certificate in Midwifery;
•HAAD/DHA license or exempted ;
•Overall experience of 7-15 years in same field;
